The ten-month-old cub was hit by the unknown vehicle near Manger village on the Faridabad-Gurgaon road which normally witnesses fast moving vehicular traffic, the official said.
The post-mortem of the cub was conducted at a hospital in Faridabad.
The cause of the accident was identified as 'head injury', doctors at the hospital said.
The Aravalli hills spread over the areas of Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi host a major part of the forest area in which wildlife still exists.
However, such accidents are becoming more frequent with the expansion of urbanisation in and around the forest area, added the forest official.
