Leopard mauls man

The body of a 55-year-old man reportedly mauled by a leopard, was found at Attabettu, seven km from here, forest officials said today.
This is the second such incident in Nilgiris district after a woman was mauled allegedly by the animal in Solada village on January 4.
Relatives, who went in search of the man who had gone to collect wood in the area last evening, found the half-eaten body around 1.30 am, forest department sources said.
Police said though four cages were kept to trap the leopard, the animal avoided them.
