The 23-year-old actor has set up his own verified account on Twitter but has only posted one tweet so far, reported E! online.
"Kicking it off on Twitter for the first time. Glad to be on board. Thank you for following," Hemsworth posted.
While Hemsworth quickly racked up over 20,000 followers on his first day, he is only following five accounts, none of which belong to his on-off fiancee, prolific tweeter Miley Cyrus.
Meanwhile, troubled actress Amanda Bynes shared her admiration for the hunky actor, writing on Twitter that she thinks he is 'gorgeous'.
Hemsworth and Bynes reportedly hooked up in 2009 when the 'Last Song' actor and Cyrus were on a break.
