Veteran actor Liam Neeson is in negotiations to join the cast of "Men in Black" spin-off, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, if on board, the 65-year-old actor will play the head of the Men in Black organisation in London, where the story begins.
"The Fate of the Furious" director F Gary Gray is directing the project, while the script has been penned by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.
Hemsworth and Thompson, who reunite after starring in "Thor: Ragnarok", are not playing the alien-fighting and world-saving characters portrayed by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the initial film trilogy.
Walter F Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, who produced the original movies, return as producers, while Steven Spielberg is coming back to executive produce.
The Sony studio film is slated to release on June 14 next year.
