LIC Housing Fin Sep net profit climbs 21% to Rs 412 crore

LIC Housing Finance today said its standalone net profit for the September quarter of 2015-16 rose 20.6 per cent to Rs 411.74 crore.
Last year, it stood at Rs 341.35 crore.
Total income increased to Rs 3,089.36 crore during the quarter under review, from Rs 2,658.69 crore a year ago, it said in a BSE filing.
Offering loans for purchase or construction of residential houses forms the main business of the company.
The stock traded at Rs 490.25 on BSE in noon session, up 1.73 per cent.
