Lifer awarded to four in Dhubri

Four persons were sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment by a court in Assam's Dhubri district today for killing a person in 1995 in Bilasipara subdivision.
Additional Dhubri District and Session Judge Prasanta Buragohain found them guilty of killing the man Gafur Ali in village Jogirmahal Part 11 following a case of divorce on July 10, 1995 and sentenced Bubul Hussain, Gomiruddin, Allauddin and Daktar Ali to life imprisonment.
The four had gone to the village to settle a marriage dispute when a clash erupted between the wife and husband's sides resulting in the death of Gafur Ali.
