Light rain in UP, more likely in next 48 hours

Light rain occurred at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday as cold wave conditions persisted in the state, the meteorological department said.

Many places in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh were engulfed by a blanket of dense fog in the morning, they said.

According to the meteorological department, thundershowers are likely to lash parts of western and eastern Uttar Pradesh on Thursday and Friday, they said.

Some isolated parts of the state may get rain on January 18, the weather office said.
