Lightning kills mother, injures son

Ameena Begum, 45, died on the spot while her son Waseem Ahmad got injured when they were hit by lightning at Trehgam in Kupwara district last evening, the police spokesman said.

The injured boy has been shifted to a hospital at Trehgam for treatment, he added. PTI MIJ NDC
