Linseed oil strengthens on festive offtake

Linseed oil prices strengthened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market today on sustained offtake from paint and allied industries in the backdrop of ensuing festival seasons.
While, in edible section refined palmolein edged down further owing to lack of retail buying support.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial held steady in the absence of any major buying.
In non-edible section, linseed oil firmed up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 845 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 840.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 4100 per 100kg and 850 per 10 kg respectively.

Moving to edible section, refined palmolein eased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 478 as compared to Rs 480 previously. However, groundnut oil ended unaltered at Rs 880 per 10kg.
