Film studio Lionsgate is eyeing possible prequels and more sequels in the popular franchise 'Hunger Games' to expand it beyond the upcoming fourth film.
The book series, from which the franchise is adapted, ends with 'Mockingjay', reported Deadline.
Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer confirmed this, when telling analysts, he is 'actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities' for the franchise.
The fourth film in the series, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2', is slated to release on November 21 in the US.
The original stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth are back as Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne respectively.
