Literary and Bollywood stars to participate at Tata LitFest

Bollywood celebrities like Gulzar, Anurag Kashyap, Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah along with literary personalities including Amitav Ghosh, Chetan Bhagat are set to take part at this year's Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest.
The festival will showcase debates, plays, performances, poetry and storytelling and will also honour Gulzar with the Poet Laureate Award in a glittering ceremony.
The first day will see Amitav Ghosh in conversation with Shashi Tharoor as part of the opening ceremony.
The event will also witness Nicholas Shakespeare the descendant of the famed author and playwright in attendance.
Kashyap will take the stage as performer in an audacious theatrical experiment called the "White Rabbit, Red Rabbit" that will be performed in Hindi for the first time. This famous play has been directed by Nassim Soleimanpour.
Shah along with his wife Ratna Pathak-Shah, Heeba Shah, Imad Shah, and Vivaan Shah will perform "In Riding Madly Off In All Directions".
Barkha Dutt and Shobhaa De will be part of a panel discussion. Other discussions include Prasoon Joshi debating if songwriters should be considered as poets. Gulzar conversing with member of Rajya Sabha, Pavan Varma.
Juhi Chawla, Nasir Hussain, Akshay Manwani, and Shantanu Ray Chaudhuri are scheduled to hold a panel discussion called 'Music, Masti, Modernity'.
For sports fans, there'll be an opportunity to hear Leander Paes recount what it took to win an Olympic medal for the country in 1996.
Barkha Dutt will also be in conversation with Shabana Azmi where they examine women politicians in South Asia, while Chetan Bhagat will grace the stage with Aparna Piramal Raje where he will discuss his latest book, "One Indian Girl".
The seventh edition of the fest, which begins tomorrow will be held at Prithvi theatre in the suburbs and NCPA at Nariman Point.
