"This time there will be a live demo on weaving and printing of silk sarees. Fifteen states will be participating in the expo and we plan to put 50 stalls," Silk Mark Organisation Nodal Officer, D Kirubakaran told reporters here.
The seven-day event will be inaugurated by Executive Director of HandLoom Export Promotion Council Beela Rajesh.
Various types of silks from manufacturers would be put up at the expo and the objective of the event is to encourage people for the "Silk Mark" on purchase of a silk product, he said.
There will be pure Silk sarees and Silk garments, including dresses and unstitched silk fabrics, among others, he said.
