Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today held a meeting with several officials of the hospital, MCD and traffic police to review the progress of infrastructure development works at the hospital and made a plan to transform it into a model health care facility.
In the meeting, the LG was assured that the new OPD block in the hospital will be completed by the end of this month.
Jung also instructed the commissioner of MCD (North) and special commissioner (Traffic) to ensure that passage of emergency vehicles and services are unobstructed and that unauthorised vendors are removed from the site.
The Medical Superintendent of the hospital also informed the LG that biometric attendance system is being introduced in a phased manner and by July 1, all its 4,000 employees will come under its ambit.
