Kapil, who was arrested in connection with a recent loot case, today escaped from a cell in the court premises after the hearing, district police spokesperson said.
Over 12 cases of murder and loot are pending against Kapil in various police stations of the district, he said.
After the accused escaped, a case of negligence was registered against the seven police personnel, including a woman constable, who were then suspended, the spokesperson said.
