Leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul's elder sister Parkashvati Gupta has passed away at her home here. She was 93.
She had been hospitalised for a few days but was discharged recently to be cared for at her home in South Delhi, where she passed away yesterday from complications due to a chest congestion.
"She was a mother figure to me. I was very close to her as she had taken care of me since I was a little boy of six. She was 93 and died peacefully but the sense of loss is immense," Lord Paul, who is mourning the death of his elder sister, said in London.
