Actress Leah Remini has opened up about her decision to leave Scientology and how it has affected her.
The former 'King of Queens' actress told Ellen DeGeneres that she has lost many friends since leaving the organisation as her Scientology friends cannot talk to her anymore, reported E! News.
"We lost friends who can no longer talk to us who are still in the organization," Remini said.
"But we have other friends, who are not in the church, who have stood by us and that's all we can ask for," Remini added.
The actress said she got involved with the church very early as her mother was already a member.
"My mother got involved when we were very young, so it's all we really knew. But over time, my eyes got opened and I could just no longer be affiliated with the organization, and my family felt the same, so we left," she said.
In early July, it was reported that Remini had decided to quit the controversial religion, apparently because she was allegedly subjected "interrogations" for questioning the leadership of David Miscavige.
The other famous celebrities who have quit the church include Nicole Kidman and writer-director Paul Haggis.
