The pair will appear alongside Keisha Castle-Hughes ('Whale Rider') and Peter Cambor ('NCIS: Los Angeles') in the pilot, according to Entertainment Weekly
Writer and director Cameron Crowe is teaming up with producer JJ Abrams for the project, which focuses on the rigours of being a popular rock band's road crew.
Wilson will play a "road-weary, sleep-deprived tour manager" and Poots's character is described as "a first-rate electrical tech with a great heart".
The pilot for 'Roadies' is expected to run for an hour, with subsequent episodes likely to be half-hour installments.
