The incident took place on the Nawanshahr-Rupnagar road.
Following the accident, local residents blocked the Chandigarh-Jalandhar highway for two hours in protest against the rash and negligent driving by the bus driver.
Police reached the spot and impounded the bus.
The driver of the bus, who tried to escape, was caught by the locals and handed over to police.
According to eyewitnesses, the speeding bus hit the motorcycle and injured two persons riding the bike. The driver who lost control over the bus then hit two SUVs, police said.
The Congress workers, who gathered at the spot and staged protests, said they would block the traffic tomorrow again if a case was not registered against the bus driver and the company owner. The bus is allegedly owned by the Badal family.
It is third incident in the state within few months when bus owned by Badal was involved in mishap.
