Maderna, Bishnoi plotted to kill Bhanwari, CBI tells court

The prosecution today continued with the arguments in the ADJ court. Maderna, who is suffering from slip disc, did not appear in the court.

The arguments on the charges lasted for 45 minutes in the presence of rest 15 accused.

Senior special counsel for CBI, Ashok Joshi, began the arguments from where he had left on May 14, the previous hearing, while proving the motive of Maderna and Bishnoi behind the crime.

Joshi argued in the court that when Bhanwari's news broke out in media in July 2011, both Maderna and Bishnoi got worried of things getting into public domain.

"This development robbed their peace and they got anxious to settle the matter anyhow," Joshi said.

"This development also jolted their, hitherto, apathetic approach to deal with the threats of Bhanwari and a meeting between Bishnoi and Sahi Ram Bishnoi, another accused and confidant of Maderna, took place to expedite the matter.

"Following this meeting, a telephonic communication of 1300 seconds also took place between Maderna and Bishnoi," Joshi told the court.

"We also brought Sohan Lal Bishnoi into the picture as a co-ordinator of the conspiracy," Joshi added.

What the prosecution has been undertaking in the court is absolutely a narration based on circumstantial evidences but Joshi said that they are so "strong and inevitable" that they in themselves prove the motive of the crime.

Court will continue the trail on May 26.

On the other hand, the arguments on the bail application of Malkhan Singh Bishnoi were completed by the court, who will pronounce the the next hearing.

So far bail applications of Maderna, Shahabuddin, Reshma Ram, Dinesh and Paras Ram Bishnoi have been rejected by the court.
