Two ministers belonging to the Federal Socialist Party Nepal - a key Madhesi group - were inducted into the Nepal Cabinet today.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed FSPN chairman Upendra Yadav as minister for health and population and Mohammad Istiyaq Raya as minister for urban development as per the recommendation made by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, according to a notice issued by the president's office.
With the latest expansion, the strength of the Oli-led Cabinet has reached 24.
The FSPN recently decided to join the government led by Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman Oli after a two-point agreement signed with the NCP.
Oli, who took the oath of office and secrecy as prime minister on February 15, had expanded his Cabinet on February 26 and March 16 earlier.
