"It's really a fun movie and you can't make it too serious. It's about dancing, and that's one thing nobody is talking about," she said.
The film stars actors Manganiello, Channing Tatum, and Matt Bomer besides actresses MacDowell and Jada Pinkett Smith, reported Us magazine.
"I love watching those guys dance. It's so much fun! And the fact that they're dancing for our pleasure is a great big extra piece of it," reasoned MacDowell, who earned her part by getting into character with a glass of wine during her Skype audition with the director.
