Magistrate resumes duty

A Magistrate, who was arrested and granted bail in connection with a case involving a woman sub-inspector of police, today resumed duty in Coonoor Court here.
Thangaraj, Magistrate of Coonoor Fast Track court in Nilgiris district, was arrested on June 29 after the SI, attached to Palladam in Tirupur district, lodged a complaint claiming that she was cheated by him after having three years' affair and promising to marry her.
But he married another woman on June 28.
He was granted bail by a court in Tirupur yesterday and was released from Coimbatore Jail.
