"The state government has completed the payment of tur purchase and other food grains. Now, the Centre's decision of exporting some tur will benefit the farmers," the state Marketing Minister said.
He was speaking during a meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh. State Agriculture Minister Pandurang Fundkar was also present.
"The government increased duty on imports of yellow peas, which is a very helpful decision," Deshmukh said.
Fundkar said, "Soil testing activity is widely implemented in the state and the government is issuing soil health cards. It would be helpful if these cards are issued in Marathi language.
