"The Governor has accepted the resignation of state Information Commissioner, Aurangabad, D B Deshpande," a Raj Bhavan official said.
Deshpande, who was appointed as the State Information Commissioner in 2010, had submitted his resignation to the Governor on June 23.
On June 11, the ACB had filed an FIR against senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal and 16 others, including Deshpande, in connection with the scam which relates to awarding of contract for construction of new building of Maharashtra Sadan, the state government's guest house in New Delhi.
