Maharashtra announces Lata Mangeshkar award to singer Kalle

Maharashtra government announced here today that noted singer Krishna Kalle would be awarded the Lata Mangeshkar Award 2013-14 for her contribution to music.
The award, which is given away every year on September 28, on the occassion of Lata Mangeshkar's birthday, comprises a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation and a memento.
However, this year, the award presentation would be on November 28, an official statement said.
