The deceased identified as Sashi was found hanging from the ceiling fan with her 'dupatta' around 8 pm inside the servant quarters of the house, they said.
Her body was discovered when one of the other domestic help went looking for her and raised an alarm following which police was informed.
A police team from Sarojini Nagar police station rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem.
"No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. Prima facie it appears that she was under depression over family issues. She had recently returned from her native village in Uttar Pradesh," said a police official.
