Five days after the Convent Road shootout incident in the city, the Anti-Rowdy Section (ARS) of the Kolkata Police today arrested the main accused Bablu from his residence at Entally area in the central part of the metropolis.
Bablu had allegedly fired at his rival Kalu when the later was taking a child of his (Kalu's) family to the school, located in the area, on February 15.
Kalu was injured when the bullet grazed his leg, but the bike-borne accused sped away.
An ARS official said, two other persons were also detained in connection with the incident which is the fallout of a long-standing feud between Bablu and Kalu.
