In another raid, two days back, 1250 gelatin sticks and 5000 detonators were found in a separate part of the city, police said.
Lalchawimawii of Durtlang North locality was arrested in this connection, police said.
The currencies were having the face value of Rs 1,000 denomination and Rs 500 denomination.
In another haul, Police seized 1,250 gelatin sticks and 5,000 detonators near Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) building at Zemabawk near state capital on Wednesday.
Lalvarmawii of Pizit village in Nagaland was arrested in this connection.
