Man allegedly shot dead by friend after a brawl

A member of Nagarik Suraksha Samity (NSS), a defunct anti-extremist organisation here, was shot dead allegedly by his friend following a brawl in the copper township of Musaboni in East Singhbhum district late this evening, a senior police officer said.
The victim, Mangal Hansda after consuming liquor with his friend Kande Godsara in Naya colony area had a brawl over an issue, said Superintendent of Police (Rural), Shailendra Kumar Sinha.
In an inebriated state, Godsara shot at and grievously injured Hansda, the SP said.
Hansda was immediately taken to the nearby Health Centre. However, the doctors declared him brought dead, Sinha said.

A case has been registered in this regard while Godsara was reported at large, the SP added.
