Vijay Nagar police station in charge Avdesh Yadav said Ram Prasad, a resident of Bulandshahr, had come here to collect his money (Rs seven lakh) which he had lent to his relative Neeraj Prakash months ago.
When Prasad reached at Prakash's residence and asked for repayment of money, he started quarrelling, Yadav said.
"Enraged Prakash fired at Prasad by his licensee pistol, however, Prasad escaped unhurt and rushed to police station. Police lodged a report and arrested Prakash under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC," he said.
