Lakhbir Singh was on the run ever since a case of murder was registered against him along with others in connection with the killing of his daughter last year, they said.
The body of his daughter, identified as Paramjit Kaur, was found in Beas river in October last.
Police had suspected that Paramjit, a resident of Kiri Afgana village, was allegedly murdered by her father with the assistance of his family members as he was unhappy over her relationship with a boy of the same village.
Shamsher Singh, a resident of Kiri Afgana village had told police that Paramjit wanted to marry him, but her parents were against her wishes.
Though Balbir, Baljit, Jagtar and Sakkatar were arrested earlier, Lakhbir was absconding, police said.
