Man arrested for raping minor employee

A 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl, whom he hired as his personal assistant, in east Delhi's Mandawali area, police said today.
Neelesh Kumar, who was arrested last night, had hired the 17-year-old girl after his previous PA had left the job a few weeks ago, they said.
The incident took place early this week, two days after the girl started working with Kumar, who owns a construction company.
After allegedly raping her, the accused first threatened and later promised to give the girl a salary hike if she didn't inform anybody about the matter, police said.

Initially, the girl didn't inform anyone about it and stopped going to work. When her mother prodded her about not going to office, she narrated the ordeal following which a complaint was filed, they said.
The accused was absconding after the complaint and arrested last night, they added.
