The accused, identified as Munna Tanti, was spotted by a police control room team patrolling the Najafgarh Road around 2 AM on the intervening night between Friday (August 14) and Saturday (August 15), said a police officer.
Munna has been booked under Sections 380/511 (attempt to commit theft) of IPC, said Ranvir Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (Operations).
The police also recovered equipment from Munna, who is a migrant from Banka district of Bihar, the official added.
