During a routine check, police intercepted one Lakshman Das yesterday and found him carrying of 27 pouches of hashish, Sub-Inspector Ramkishan said.
The accused hails from Bihar and was residing at Ismailpur in the district, he said.
A case has been registered against him at Sarai Khwaja police station under section 20, 61 and 85 of Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act, 1994 (PNDT).
Police were trying to ascertain whether the accused was involved in drug trafficking and if he had any accomplice, said Investigating Officer ASI Rajkumar.
