A 51-year-old man ended his life by jumping from a building after attacking his wife and mother-in-law with a knife in Maharashtra's Palghar district on Thursday, police said.
The incident took place at Virar in the district.
Nirsan Vasara (51) and his wife Manju Vasara (32) quarreled frequently, police said.
He stabbed Manju during one such tiff Thursday morning and also attacked her mother Laxmi Kataria who tried to intervene to save her, police said.
After that he jumped from the building and killed himself, police added.
The two women were admitted to hospital and were said to be out of danger.
