seriously injured when her husband hit her with a crowbar over a petty issue, police said today.
The accused, Yeshwant Dhodi, got annoyed yesterday when his wife Kusum Dhodi left their cattle outside the house at Pol village in the district's Manor taluka following which the animals went grazing on a neighbour's land, assistant police inspector Maruti Patil said.
He then picked up an iron crowbar and hit his wife, injuring her seriously, and fled from there, he said.
The woman was admitted to a local hospital.
An offence has been registered against the accused under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC, police said, adding that a search has been launched to nab him.
