The incident took place on the night of October 18 when the victim and his friend were having a meal in a hotel, they said.
The body was found yesterday, police said.
Ravinder Kumar, a resident of Awankha village under Dina Nagar police station, alleged that he along with his friend Munish Kumar were having food when a group of youths came there.
They started beating Munish and took him away in their car to an unidentified place. They then thrashed him before dumping him at Singhowal village, he alleged.
Meanwhile, the residents blocked the roads and gheraoed the Dina Nagar police station for around five hours against the alleged police inaction in the case.
