The accused also sexually harassed the victim's wife when she intervened to save her husband from the blows.
A case was registered against Rantej Singh under relevant sections of IPC following a complaint by the victim Sanjay Kashyap, SHO P B Singh said.
Rantej Singh has been arrested, he said.
According to the victim, he had taken the loan from the accused eight months ago. Even though Kashyap managed to return the amount, the money lender pressed him for more money.
The couple also alleged that the accused took away Rs 30,000 from them, they added.
