The victim, identified as Amanpreet Singh, who came with his family members to watch the movie yesterday, was bitten by the reptile.
He was admitted to a private hospital where he is still reported to be unconscious, they said.
Meanwhile, the district administration, taking serious note of the incident, has asked for an explanation from the authorities regarding the incident, official sources said.
The administration has also asked to reply within a day otherwise its license will be cancelled, the sources said.
