Man booked for allegedly raping a woman

A woman was allegedly raped by a man when she had gone to the fields in Nagla village here, police said today.
As per the complaint filed by the victim yesterday, the accused, Neeroo raped her in the fields nearby her house on February 17 in Nagla village at Jalesar area, police said.
The family members of the woman had gone to a wedding at the time of the incident, they said.
The accused threatened the woman after the crime and asked her not to file a complaint, police said.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of IPC, they said, adding that efforts are on to arrest him.
