The accused had been identified as Jaswinder Singh alias Pintu, police said, adding, he has gone absconding since the charges were filed against him.
According to the case registered, the accused forcefully gagged the woman while she was passing in front of his cattle farm last night.
However, the woman could raise an alarm and her husband and others arrived on the spot.
