Man commits suicide, another found murdered

A 38-year-old man, who recently returned to India from the Gulf, allegedly committed suicide at his residence here, police said today.
The body of Gobind Singh was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room last night, they said.
A resident of Ajowal, Singh was apparently upset over some matter, police adding the body had been sent for post mortem.
In another incident, 42-year-old Surinderpal was found murdered in Kotla Gaunspur area this morning, police said.
His body, which was found near a canal, bore injury marks which were inflicted by sharp-edged weapons, they said.
