Man commits 'suicide' in police lock-up; 5 cops suspended

A man allegedly committed suicide in the lock-up of Kokhraj police station here following which five policemen including Station House officer (SHO) were suspended.
Gulam Ahmad (38) allegedly hanged himself with his clothes from a window of the lock-up last night,Superintendent of Police S A Pankaj said today.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Taking note of the incident, SHO Pradeep Yadav and four other policemen have been suspended, the SP said.
Ahmad, an accused under IPC 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery), was brought to the lockup for probe.
