Man critically injured after being hit by car

A man was critically injured when a car hit him near the New Delhi Railway Station this evening, police said.
The errant driver was apprehended by the locals after he stopped to change the tyres of the vehicle near the Chelmsford Road, they said.
The victim, Pankaj Kumar (30), was on his way back home when the car hit him from behind. Kumar was flung in the air and was run over by the errant driver while he was reversing the car to escape from the spot, police said.
Kumar was taken to a hospital in a critical condition, while the locals caught hold of the accused driver and his friend who were trying to change the tyres of the vehicle, they said.
