A 25-year-old man was critically injured in an attack by a bear in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district this morning, police said.
The incident occurred when Sunil Kumar was on his way to Kalatop forest area, they said.
Several locals gathered after Sunil screamed for help, Chamba Superintendent of Police (SP) Monica Bhutunguru said, adding that subsequently, the bear ran towards the forests area and the man was saved.
He sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Dalhousie from where the doctors referred him to Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC) Kangra at Tanda.
This is the second such incident in Dalhousie area in the last one month.
