The Delhi Police has detained a man after he was allegedly found bursting crackers at an isolated lawn of Rajpat in Lutyens' Delhi on Wednesday.
The man, identified as Mizoram Subba (26), hails from Sikkim and appears to be mentally unstable, police said.
An officer said at about 7 pm, the man was seen bursting crackers at the isolated lawn of Rajpat following which he was detained by a police team.
In a video, he was also heard chanting slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai".
He is presently in police custody and is being jointly interrogated by the Delhi Police and other security agencies, the officer said.
During the interrogation, the man said he wanted the central government to distribute national flags free of cost to everyone, police said.
