A group of hunters led by Sanjay Singh which was in search of the man-eater leopardess for 168 hours on the directive of the forest department finally succeeded in shooting it down last night, Divisional Forest Officer Sushant Patnaik said.
The leopardess is nearly seven years old and all its body parts are intact, he said.
Patnaik claimed it was the same leopardess which had dragged a 10-year-old boy from outside his home to the jungles on Friday last week creating panick among residents of Fulsani and adjoining villages.
