Additional District and Sessions judge Madhu Khanna Lali convicted Ashish (22), a resident of Sham Nagar in Hisar, of rape yesterday and sentenced him to ten years' imprisonment.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him, and in case of default of payment of the fine the convict would further undergo imprisonment for six months.
Ashish was charged with rape under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), the public prosecutor said.
