District and Sessions Judge Marly Vankung also slapped a fine of Rs 5000 on the convict, Beirachhua, and ruled that he would serve another two months if he fails to pay the fine.
According to the prosecution, Beirachhua, a resident of south Mizoram's Saiha town, raped her minor daughter from his first wife several times.
The girl was staying with him after he divorced his first wife and married again.
The victim's relatives filed a case against Beirachhua in 2012 and its judgement was passed yesterday.
