Man gets death sentence for killing police Inspector

A man has been sentenced to death by a local court for killing a police Inspector in Bagalkula village last year.
District Judge Rajan Chaudhary yesterday held Chandra Kumar alias Pappu guilty of murdering Inspector Raj Kumar Singh and imposed a penalty of Rs 50,000 on him, the prosecution said today.
The incident occurred in November 2014 when Pappu shot dead Singh in Bagalkula village where the latter had gone to conduct a raid, they said, adding, Pappu was arrested on the spot.
